About CanSCCRN
The Canadian Screening for Colorectal Cancer Research Network (CanSCCRN) is a pan-Canadian network that brings together colorectal cancer screening program leaders and expert researchers from across the country.
Our goal is to improve the delivery and impact of organized CRC screening through collaborative, innovative, and rigorous research. By connecting research with practice, we help ensure that screening programs deliver the greatest possible benefit to Canadians.
As a national network, we’re uniquely positioned to study real-world implementation, test strategies for improvement, and support screening programs as learning health systems.
VISION
To reduce the burden of colorectal cancer by generating real-world evidence to advance organized screening programs.
MISSION
With the understanding that organized colorectal cancer screening programs are learning health systems where meaningful information from practice and research can be used to fuel changes that will improve care, we endeavor to:
Provide a forum for knowledge users, decision-makers, researchers, clinicians, screening advocates, members of the public, and other interested parties to collaborate on current issues facing these programs.
Design and conduct rigorous research with interested parties that is relevant to these programs.
Facilitate the rapid uptake of research findings by these programs.
Voices from the Field
CanSCCRN was born from the insights and needs of those working on the front lines of colorectal cancer screening in Canada. Here's what they told us:
